Sims 4 Day 3- Ellis Family

I thought before I take a break from the Ellis family to start my legacy I would do a quick update post.  The biggest news from the family is that Chandler died.  He actually got saved by his daughter Sarah.  She was feeling confident and walked up to the reaper and demanded Chandler be spared.  Which he was for a day and a half.  Not really worth it unless you have some loose ends to tie I guess.  Despite him being saved Rita started mourning him while he was still alive.  Sarah never mourned him.  She got a good buff for her interaction with the reaper but that's it.  So mabye children don't mourn?  After Chandler died the second time the reaper stayed in the house and watched tv for a bit while Rita and Sarah slept.  It was really funny.

Sarah became a teen.  She aged up from a skinny little child to an overweight teen so I've had her on the new treadmill.  I've read on the forums that it's really easy to get overweight in this game.  Rita is also overweight compared to when I made her.  Sarah finished her childhood aspiration within just a few minutes of aging, whew!  She's now in high school and working on her new aspiration which I completely forget.

Rita became an elder.  I had her bake a cake so she wouldn't get the sad forgotten birthday thing.  I changed her clothes and hair in the mirror because she looked silly as a elder the way she was dressed.  She is almost at the end of her comedy career but hasn't gotten close to completing her aspiration.  I plan to play the Ellis family whenever I get tired of the strict rules of the legacy challenge.  But you know me, I love challenges!

This pic is from the first time that Chandler died.

Sims 4 Day 2- Ellis Family

A lot has happened to Rita since my last post.  She got married and then divorced.  But I couldn't figure out how to make him move out so I had to go to create-a-sim and delete him from the family.  Kinda weird.  They had opposing traits and he was about to age up to elder.  The divorce hit Rita hard and I had fun with all of her whims that came from her being so sad.  Such as call the saddness hotline and cry it out in bed.  Once she was over that she met Chandler.  Within a day I decided to move him in.  He has the loves the outdoors trait so he fishes a lot.  Rita was supposed to age up to adult but she never did until I bought her a birthday cake.  It must have been a bug because Chandler aged up to an elder all on his own.  He was sad about that because his birthday was forgotten.  Opps.  I was kinda hoping he just wouldn't age up.  Meanwhile they had a baby daughter named Sarah.  Babies are weird.  You can't tell what's wrong with them when they cry unless they have a dirty diaper.  You can even age them up right away but I didn't.  I think children make up for no toddlers even though it's kinda odd having a full grown kid pop out of a bassinet.  Sarah has her own aspirations and I gave her the creative trait.  She has been fun to play so far.  I did a full blown wedding event for Rita and Chandler and got a gold award for the party.  Pretty cool.  They got married under a wedding arch and cut the cake Rita baked.  Rita is level 7 of the comedian career, Chandler just fishes and Sarah just had her first day of school.  I like how the school has things to do like jobs.  Sarah needs to get to level 4 in 2 skills.  She's almost there already.  All in all I'm liking the game.  I've also watched some Twitch feeds and Youtube videos of people playing.  That's a good way to learn stuff you didn't know and get ideas of stuff to do.  :)

Sims 4 So Far- Ellis Family

I woke up this morning pumped and ready to go for some more Sims 4!  I'm getting the hang of the UI and really liking it.  So far the loading screens do not bother me.  Rita has gotten promoted several times in her job as a comedian.  At first I thought the rabbit hole career would suck but she has to do things at home as well.  She has to write jokes and comedy routines which means I had to buy a computer.  It took me a bit to figure out how to do a comedy routines at a club for tips.  I invited everyone I know to travel with me so that the bar wouldn't be empty and made quite a bit of simoleans.  I don't have much extra time in the day especially since people keep coming to the door wanting to hang out.  So far I am enjoying playing Rita when usually I don't like playing social type characters.  I got bills once which were a little over 400 simoleans.  Much higher than my tiny house would have been on Sims 3.  They said they were going to make it harder.  LOL  One guy keeps hanging around and I'm thinking of getting them romantically involved.  I'll take pics and post them if I do.

Here is Rita Ellis coming home from doing a comedy routine.

I wanted to take a picture that shows all of the little gnome-type things that I keep digging up near my yard.  They give off the playful emotion when activated.  It's cool to activate them and entertain a guest on the front porch.

Sims 4... First Impressions- Ellis Family

Shortly after midnight I booted up my game.  First I was told what  extra content would be available in game.  Next I was taken to create-a-sim where I was dissapointed to find that my sims from the demo were not there.  Only the one I had shared to the gallery.  I tried searching online for a solution but the game is so new there was no info.  So I ended up going back to the demo and sharing the sim I wanted to play to the gallery.  I started off the game with 20,000 simoleans.  I bought an empty lot and found a cute little cottage on the gallery to plop down.  Too cool.  Props to Ruthless for the house creation.

What I noticed right away were that there are sims everywhere!  Like just outside my house there were a bunch.  My sim wanted to meet 10 people and it took no time at all.  I met most outside the house and the rest at the gym.  She needs 4 friends for work and I think that will be a little harder.  I got her the comedian job since she's a party animal.  The amount of time that she is gone at her rabbit hole career doesn't seem like long at all.

The load screens and save screens were very quick.  I had no lag at all and I'm running an old computer.  So far I am very pleased with the game and look forward to jumping back in after I wake up because it's been over 2 hours and I need to get back to bed!  Night night all.  :)
