TS2- Poverty Challenge... What the Heck was I Thinking???

Chapter 8

I've been reading some old Sims 2 blogs and saw some cool looking pets.  So I went on Mod the Sims and found this.  It's called Pokemon Pets Furret.  I named her Meowser.

Maxx is like: "Who Dis?"

 A couple of other things I saw that I downloaded.  The baby is Ellie's baby Bella that I didn't get a pic of for the last chapter.

Ellie invites Gabriel over for a little fun times and baby #2 (for her) is on it's way.

Faithe's daughter Sara ages up to child.  It's the first transition I've had in awhile without aspiration failure.  Yay!

Awe.  I hate it when my pets become elders.  It's so sad.

Yet another transition.  Bella ages to toddler.  It seems like Mia is always the one to help the babies age even though none of them have been hers yet.

Speaking of babies... Remember the fun meeting with the matchmaker?  Mae has the first boy in the family, Ryan.

Mia has a girl, Angela.

The next day Ellie has another boy, Jacob.  Seriously I didn't even realize I'd named them Bella and Jacob until after it was done.  It was not a Twilight reference, lmao!

Zitella's ghost haunts the house every night.  She scares everyone, wakes them up and just plain pisses me off.  I'm really starting to hate playing this house because of her.

The next night when the haunting starts again I give in and try to "move the grave".  It works but I'm not sure if that will stop the hauntings or not.  Unfortunately for some stupid reason, even though she made their lives hell, everyone cries over it as if she had just died.

Okay, so at this point you're probly wondering about the title of this chapter: what the heck was I thinking???  *sigh*  I now have a household of 10.  2 pets, 3 adults, 1 child, 1 toddler and 3 babies!  I had originally planned to move out one or two of the adults to make room for more babies but that's NOT happening.  I'm miserable, they're all miserable.  I can't keep anyone's needs up.  The child, Sara, is constantly in need of fun.  I'll direct her to watch tv or something and she'll stop and complain that she needs fun!  The toddler, Bella, keeps wetting her diaper and needing a bath because I keep forgetting to have someone take her to the potty chair.  And the babies, oh the babies, they ALL need diaper changes and fed at the same time! *double sigh*  I think at this point I'm going to take a break from this challenge and pick it back up when I'm less frazzled!

Despite the shock of twin babies when I wasn't even sure I wanted one more baby I was sucked back in to playing this challenge.  I just can't stop, it's got to be one of the most enjoyable challenges I've played.  The house still doesn't have windows but it does have lights now.  All the walls have paint.  Everything but the beds are the cheapest possible and luckily only the tub has broken once.  But it's all good.  The family has each other.  With the twins Zitella doesn't get much of a chance to fish before winter but she's still getting paid vacation days from work so money is coming in.  Most of this post will be birthdays, hence the title.

 This is the way the house looked after the twins were born.

 Faithe got an A in school.  I love how they get all excited and run to their parents in this game.

 A little mother/daughter fishing time to get money to add on to the house.

 First, Ellie aged to child.

 Then, Mia to toddler.

 Then, Mae.  Notice Ellie's new bedroom in the background.

 What on earth is she doing outside the house with that bag?

 Argh!  So unfair.  I actually get a genie lamp and I can't use it.  It's against the rules.  So I put it in the inventory for after the challenge is over.

 Both Faithe and Ellie had a want to get a puppy and they had a little extra cash so meet Maxx... the new man of the house.  Hehe.

 Faithe ages to teen.  The nose that I thought looked so cute before kinda looks goofy now.

 Next up is Mae aging to child.  Boy time flies!

 Then Mia.  She had this stupid stink cloud floating around her since she was a toddler despite high hygiene.  I ended up having to do a cheat and lower her hygiene completely and have her shower to get rid of it.

 Now this isn't dangerous at all.  :)

TS2- Poverty Challenge... Matchmaking Madness!

Ellie ages to adult.

Aspiration failure again!

Welcome back doc.

After several failed attempts at finding the right guy for Ellie to have babies with she met Gabriel and had a pretty good date with him.

She invited him to the house the next day and the baby-making began.

Think fishing for money is easy?  Try taking each fish individually out of the inventory of the sim and then selling it individually in buy mode.  I hate doing it so much I let them pile up.  This is almost a week's worth from all 4 sims.

With the fishing money I built 2 new rooms.  A nursery...

... and a bathroom.

Is it wrong to say Sara is horrifyingly ugly?!?

That's a little better.  Her parent's genetics did not do her any favors though.

I saw the basketball court on someone's blog but realized I couldn't get it for this challenge because they would gain body skill which would get them promoted.  So I got them the llama game.  I've never gotten it before, it's pretty cool to watch.

Wondering why all of my sims in this challenge have had aspiration failure when they aged up?  Look at Mae's wants and fears.  She wants to go to private school, college, ect.  Fears not going... when she ages up having failed to do so she will bottom out.  It's been the same for all of them.

The twins age up.  I figured you didn't want to see another montage of aspiration failures.

After the annoyance of finding the perfect baby-daddy for Ellie I decided to use a matchmaker for the twins.  They each bought a love potion #8.5 and asked for a blind date.

We interrupt this matchmaking session to "panhandle simoleans".

Mabye drinking this potion will make him look less like a garbage man.

Oh sorry I was so bored with you I decided to go to sleep.

After the twins are knocked-up it's time to make room in the house.  Faithe never took care of her baby, the rest of them did and she has terrible genetics as shown by poor Sara.  So bye bye Faithe.

You may be wondering right now why is the chapter titled matchmaking madness?  It might now have seemed like it but if it could go wrong it went wrong from the second the twins aged up.  First, they met the matchmaker and it was lagging horribly.  So I restarted the game.  It didn't help.  So I restarted the laptop.  The laptop didn't want to turn back on.  Then when it did the game wouldn't load.  Meanwhile Mae and Mia are panhandling instead of entertaining their dates, then Mia goes to bed and then (somehow I didn't get a pic) Ellie goes into labor.  Baby Bella, yes another girl, is born.  By the time I get back to the twins after the birth Mia's date is over and Mae's is almost over.  By this time I was so frustrated, all the sims energy was red and I just gave up and had them invite the dates over the next day and get pregnant.  *sigh*

I spent about $7,000 of the $20,000 inheritance putting in windows, painting the exterior and adding a bit of landscaping.  I got rid of what was left.

Faithe ages to adult...

...and goes into aspiration failure.

You know it's bad when the therapist shows up!

Remember Todd?  He aged up with Faithe again.  Let the seduction and baby-making begin!

Dang, I should have known leaving that open like that would attract mischief.

The cop shows up and the fight begins!  Eh, who's the lady running in from the kitchen???

Unbelievable, the burglar won the fight.

What's up with the floating fence symbol in the background?  It must have been there since I fenced in Zitella's urn.

Finally it's the weekend.  They're fishing to hopefully build a real living room and tv since the burglar stole theirs.

I may have gotten carried away with the size of the new living room.  It looks like it's supposed to be a garage from the outside.

I graphed it out with the stuff I wanted inside.  I also wanted room to add doors going to other bedrooms without having to make another hallway.

Ellie was hunting bugs and got chased by bees!

Faithe gives birth to yes, another girl.  *sigh*  Her name is Sara.
